Hide your Hide: Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer in Tan

If we want it good we gotta go the heavy duty way. Jump in!!

HAVE A LOOK:
Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer couples with a concealer pencil with the same shade to do a double serving.

Concealer is in a nozzle tube which makes it extremely under control to bring out required amount of product, even if it is a tiniest drop( thats what you actually need to use in fact most of the time :) )

The pencil is about the same size of the tube and is almost half of a standard pencil.

HAVE A VIEW:
The shade I have for Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer is Tan. Tan is not exactly what a regular tan would look like. Though it looks very dark in tube, it is quite yellow and would lighten up when blended. The best thing about the concealer is it being very pigmented and creamy. It somewhat reminds me of  M.A.C Studio Sculpt, Yes, I actually have thought of using this concealer as full face foundation but then discarded the idea as it will be way too full coverage.

The consistency is rather thick and has to be used carefully to not end up being cake-y. That's why to cover up pigmentation or dark circles, even the smallest amount goes the long way. It blends up very nicely and might take a couple of seconds to soak in which can give enough time to spread it evenly.

In swatch above it can be seen how concealer has covered up pigmentation in an amazing way as compared to the lower-most part that is not concealer covered.

The pencil is quite creamy and is usually for spot covering and enclosing the area where the concealer will be applied. it is little bit lighter and less yellow than the concealer. Unlike concealer it is slightly drying yet holds to skin tightly to not fade easily.

HAVE A SAY:
Initially when I started to use this concealer I was completely disappointed despite it being very creamy and super pigmented. I would  use a pearl sized drop for dark circles and pigmentation around my mouth, usually dabbing  by my pinky finger and would notice it creasing instantly. Further it would also enhance my very fine laugh lines around mouth. The shade would look rather ghastly and greyed up.

After almost 3-4 months of  trying in different ways, I came to know how it should be applied best, that's through a small fluffy brush that would evenly spread it on specified area without creating a thick layer which was the reason of creasing actually. After that it was all heaven for me. It corrects my under eye very easily, camouflages all the imperfections and literally takes a few second to adapt to my skin tone without the grey cast.

As it tends to go a little pale on applying, I also feel that it creates a kind of highlighted illusion to under-eye as well. Just spreading it in a triangle to half way on the apple of cheek and it would rather create a light tone to skin. So if I do notice its getting a little too pale under eye then I usually add a bit of orange correcter on top and it would all be fine.

Since I am little dry skinned, I need a very light layer of setting powder as not to enhance dryness. I also need a primer to go under the concealer for a smoother application as I risk it settling in pores.

The pencil though creamy is good for covering up spot or pimple at smaller area. That is not much useful on my skin being a little drying. So I use it usually to reverse lining my lips. It looks wonderful that way and not only reshapes the lip as I want; plumper or thinner but also hides the pigmentation around lips plus highlighting. Using it around lips and then blending through a fine lip brush also stops the lipsticks from bleeding. It should not be used on water line though; it stung me so badly when I tried that.

HAVE a NOD or SHAKE:

  • Very  pigmented and covers up completely
  • Has yellow tones
  • Blends very easily
  • Have to use a very little amount
  • As it goes paler can be used for highlighting
  • Can go cake-y if layered up.
  • Priming might be needed in some cases
  • Pencil is quite creamy
  • Can work well on pimples or acne
  • Reverse lining lips is also done perfectly
  • Must not be used on waterline

So thats all about Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer with Concealer Pencil. I am quite satisfied with this product and would recommend completely.
Hope you like it too.
Till next post.

Cheers
