Hello Ladies!!
First of all many many happy new year wishes to all of you.
I have been pretty passive in posting and keeping up, which I am feeling consciously guilty about. So here I bring my first hard candy product ever: Hard Candy Hide & Glow Cheek duo cheek tint in Pillow Talk.
Know it!!

The packaging isnt flimsy but it is pretty ordinary. The translucent cap on each end helps to see the color before purchasing.
Use it!!
I always look forward to use a good blusher and as I have told a million times before that pigmented blushers are my beloved products. I am personally not a big fan of sheer one that needs much working out to build up.

Hard candy duo cheek tint in pillow talk offers two shades of cream based blusher at each end.
One of which is a Mauvish + Brownish Pink and other one is kinda Bright Pink . These shades can be worn individually or together.

Both are very creamy in texture and blend super easily. Both shades give a little frosty finish, whereas the shade at bottom has very minimal shimmer to it.
This is to keep in mind that it is not exactly a blusher but a tint, which only can give you a kind of glow on applying. This is why that both of them are pretty sheer. I was not expecting that these would be THAT sheer + creamy + blend able which makes them a little difficult to build up if you want a prominent cheek color to show. I apply it more than three times along the cheek to have an obvious look. Plus the trick is not to blend it much rather just soften the edges a little.

I was quite shocked when I accidently sweep my hands all over face after application; all color just subdued and got absorbed as if it was a face cream. The creamy nature kind of comes in handy for people like me who have tendency to get dry skin in winter. I will not recommend it for oily skin cuz it sure is gonna disappear in minutes. If one is okay with its “just” tinted nature then its fine otherwise it neither stays longer nor shows up much unless applied on a primed or prepped face with tinted moisturizer or foundation.
Though this doesn’t really attract me much and was even sheerer than smash box cheek color in intrigue (See HERE) which now seems a lot better cream blusher than this one now, yet I think this is going to be good for those who are afraid of using a blusher, as it is just going to glow cheeks all in all.
Another thing I was quite concerned about is its quantity. Though price it is quite affordable yet it offers pretty small quantity.

Further As I told that it needs more than 3 sweeps to show color that means it is gonna get empty quite soon. Moreover with this much quantity the packaging really is not a compact one. I am sure that this amount could be held in far little container than this full sized one. On another note it is kind of misleading for buyer who expects more product , judging from the size of stick.
Like it!!
Cuz
It has creamy texture.
It blends quite well.
It gives light glow to cheeks.
It is good for dry skin.
It is not much shimmery.
Leave it!!
Cuz
It is not much pigmented.
It does not stay very long.
It may run out quite soon.
It is quite sheer.
It is not ideal for oily skin.
It may need prepped skin to show color.
It might work better on lighter skin tones than on darker.
SCALING & RATING:
Quality: *** (International brand. Sheer color, less pigmentation, creamy texture, little frosty)
Price: ***1/2 ($ 6-8, less quantity, needs more usage for coloration)
Product Claims : ***1/2 (“Just Pinched Natural flush”, “Light weight”, “ blends evenly” but is not “Long Lasting”
Durability Through Time: ** ( does not stay long at all)
Availability: ***1/2 (@ Drugstores/cosmetics department with Hard candy line)
Shades: ***1/2 (2 colors each in 3 duos See Here)
Recommendation: Hmm nothing much to impress. Just take it for experimenting.
So guys that was all.

Cheers

I really like Hard Candy cosmetics. I am very happy about their eye shadows and blushes and bronzers. Thank you so much for this great review! I was actually considering this product, though it sounds like it may not work for my skin...

ReplyDelete@Rakhshan, You r right .they have very minimal difference.
ReplyDelete@ pandora box, Try using them on powdered skin but if powder blusher works fine.go with it:)
