Let the priming begin: Palladio Herbal Foundation Primer

Hey All!!
Priming is one of the most underrated step in makeup routine. For me its is as important as breathing. Lets have a look at my recent priming venture.

HAVE A LOOK:
Palladio Herbal Foundation Primer comes in a transparent tube that has a nozzle top ; extremely easy to control the amount you need. The quantity is bit of a bugger; instead of usual 1 oz/30 ml it gives only .674 oz that is 20 ml in other words.

HAVE A VIEW:
First and foremost, it is a clear gel that goes on extremely smoothly and easily. The smallest bit goes good long way and spreads evenly all over the face or any specified area you want to prime before a second product application. I have personally felt a huge difference when I apply a product with and without it. Be it foundation, concealer or merely blush, any application dramatically changes; foundation sweeps more easily, concealer glides comfortably, and any other tinted product shows its true color and texture, and even sometimes helps bringing the best out of it. I have used it with some foundations which usually give me a flaky skin, but with this primer I use them more often than before. Makeup definitely stays longer with primer beneath and I have had the experience of it every time I have worn it.

HAVE A SAY:
I have used it against the famous Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, and felt no visible differences to an extent where I felt Smashbox was highly overrated. I actually dropped the idea of getting Smashbox Primer only because the Palladio one seems a 98% dupe of it. Plus there is a hefty difference in what they both are priced at.
Palladio Herbal foundation primer, fills in the lines and pores in the best possible way. That is one of the reason why the products are applied so flawlessly over it.

One of the things that attracted me the most is the herbal ingredients that are included in the formula. The inclusion of skin friendly rather, skin-caring elements like Ginseng root extract, Chamomile flower extract, Aloe leaf extract, Safflower oil, and one of my favorites Grape seed oil. All of these are definitely very much effective in soothing skin and keeping it hydrated and supple.

Quantity

The only downside is the quantity which lacks a good 10 ml as compared to other primers out there. Though Palladio only costs about USD 12-15, the others from high-end brands cost about USD 35-50, but one wouldn't want to buy a new bottle sooner than others. You never know when it is out of stock or just not available anywhere accessible to you, thus it can cause a bit of a trouble locating and getting such an awesome primer. Believe me, you won't settle for anything lesser than it.
Another aspect that concerns me is that it does not claim to be a matte product. Though I haven't felt any large difference wearing a matte primer and this one. But I don't have extremely oily skin so I won't observe much. The last one I was using was matte primer from Diana of London Matifying Gel (served me a good two years) I personally feel this one better than that if not the same.

HAVE A NOD or SHAKE:

  • It definitely readies and makes skin smooth before applying other products.
  • I like how it fills line or pores that are otherwise very obvious.
  • Blending it in and application are super comfortable.
  • Including skin caring ingredients is also something I love.
  • Being completely fragrance free and colorless is really preferable for me.
  • Packaging is absolutely travel friend and fuss-free.
  • For me, it is totally as good as any high-end brand primer; it does its job perfectly
  • Though it does not claim to be matte but works fine on oily skin.
  • I personally don't like it being lesser in quantity than other primers out there.
  • Palladio products are not available everywhere so it might be a problem to find them.

So that was all from me. hope you like my review on Palladio Herbal Foundation Primer; something I am crazy about.
till next post,
Cheers
