The Black n Blue-MUA Nail Varnish in Shade no. 1

I am sharing with you a one day old experience of mine .I just couldn’t keep it to myself ..Dig in

So this is my first ever Mua product. Debuting in with their nail colors..

Now, let me tell you that I am super picky about nail colors . Mainly because I am not a nail color experimenter plus I may  have nail color ON for a week or so in a month. So they exactly aren’t my preferred product when it comes to beauty items. But being a lover of shimmers and shades unique colors catch my eye instantly. So when I came across Mua’s nail colors the one that attracted me the most was shade no 1.

It is a blackish blue shade which is a all shimmery and sometimes gives a hint of purple. The bottle is sleek and is travel friendly when it comes to size. It has a square-y look with black cap.

Use it!!

Now the very first impression of the bottle was “ Oh My!! Is this really that tiny”. This one is really small as compared to standard size out there. OPI is 15 ml, China Glaze is 14 ml and even color studio is 11 ml. so the 6.2 ml of Mua nail varnish came as kinda of a surprise. you can see in the picture that they are roughly the size of my all finger nail brought together vertically. I have further compared it to a q-tip which is more or less same size all over the world.

Now as far as the shade is concerned that really blew me off my feet . I mean I just loved it. I have had blues before like one form color studio but they are more frosty displaying more royal bluish look . This one has a blackish tone to it.

The pigmentation is pretty good . Though I was able to get a full On shade in two coats but that aint bad. It applied very smoothly and the strangest thing which happened was that though there were a few streaks on application but they filled themselves up on drying.cool right?

The shimmers infused are the best part. Mostly with glittery nail polishes there is gritty and uneven texture but this one was as smooth as silk. No irregular feeling while applying or afterwards when it dries. I had a bit of difficulty when I was removing it took me two swipes of nail polish remover to take it off but that wasn’t bad. Also some very minute particles stuck to my nail and won’t budge even if I rub harshly that too went away after I washed my hands twice or thrice.

 About the packaging , beacause of the small sized bottle they could really accommodate a long wand brush.but as they have kept the cap almost the size of container bottle, the room for brush is even lesser. Yet I didn’t have any problem in applying the lacquer. I had total control over the brush and despite it not being the best applicator brush it gave me smooth sweeps.

As MUA offers a £1 range, I was not expecting a great packaging, the sticker was out of place, not that this means anything but first impression is sometimes last impression . the cap is not in its place and gets over turned each time it is screwed. May be that was the reason my nail varnish was a little dry at mouth when I got it .

All in all with exception of size I loved the nail color. I could get more quantity in the price offered (£1,Rs.200/-) but couldnt get such an awesome shade anywhere.
