Alkazam !! Avon MagiX Face Perfector SPF 20 Gel

Hi ladies!
Today I am sharing wth you a little magic from my vanity. This is Avon MagiX Face Perfector SPF 20 Gel

Know it!!
It comes in a white soft tube with cap and a nozzle at one end to squeeze product out. Kind of reminds me of Tinted moisturiser tubes.

The packaging is quite decent and gives an elegant look to the product
Use it!!
I have been a fan of face primers since my Diana of London matifying face primer gel gave me such amazing results.
I might not have reached out for this product if my sister in law had not been raving about it for months. she is particularly very picky about makeup and since this was her day to day product it made me really curious.
The first thing one observes about Avon Magix is that it is a really really good quantity. You can see in a glimpse that this product is not gonna run out very soon .

Though it is named as "Gel" the product that comes out is in creamy white color which looks like it is a more of a facial moisturiser than a REAL gel. So that was kinda where I started to  get even more inquisitive. It was surprising that even on applying it, it initially felt like moisturiser; a little creamy.

On Smoothing
My first thought was Whoa!! has the moisturiser switched with primer somehow. And here is when the MAGIC begins. As I started to blend it in ,and believe me it did not need much of an effort, the color started to subdue and a  real fine smoothness took over.

While Blending

That was really encouraging as it was now behaving as a face primer. But that does not end here. Just a minute ago I was worried of its creamy nature and now it felt as if I have applied a wonderful transparent powder all over.

On blending
Creaminess has totally disappeared as if it has soaked in and has left a powdery sheen behind. My skin was totally prepped for what ever I wanted to put in next. Be it a Foundation, Tinted Moisturiser or Blusher. Or I could just walk in like that with a healthy looking skin all over.( in summer)
I could definitely feel a difference between the side I had applied it on and the one without. with Avon Magix On it was smoother. The products especially the foundation which I applied afterwards stayed put for longer . There was no chance it would melt with it.
Being a face primer it should not be mistaken with a foundation or tinted moisturiser. It is not going to cover up any flaws. It only will provide a good base so that the products applied over are applied smoothly.

Avon claims it not to be a makeup I agree to some extent. What I loved most was that it felt so airy and lightweight after applying . It does not offer any extra shimmer or shine. It would never look like if one has worn any makeup unless on you touch it up with fingers and feel the silky even skin.
It does not only offer an ample quantity but one needs a small amount to cover up all face. that was really encouraging.

Now, As I mentioned it does do a kind of magic. Transforming itself into powder that quickly.I am not able to use it that much during winter. It will certainly enhance my dry patches. I reckon this is going to be my ultimate product during summer as it does have SPF 20 and tends to give a mattifying effect.  So I  am looking forward to summer to try this product even more often. I am pretty sure it is gonna work wonders.

Like it!!
Cuz
It preps skin well.
It offers good quantity.
It can be worn alone.
It gives powdery finish when blended.
It is long lasting.
It is not shiny/shimmery.
it is ideal for summer/oily skin
It gives sun burn protection.
 Leave it!!
It tends to get get drier on dry skin.
It needs to apply another product to cover imperfections.
It might not be effective to reduce discoloration of products applied over.

SCALING & RATING:
Quality: **** ( Blendable, Light, Powdery Finish, Good Primer)
Price: ***1/2( b/w  $10 -14. okay price for quantity it offers)
Product claims: ****("Colorless" "invisible" "Banishes Shine" "Translucent" "Powdery finish" but does not give "flawless Skin tone" or "Instant Perfection")
Availability: *** (On web stores and through Avon Catalogue)
Durability Through time: ****( Stays on for well enough time)
Recommendation: A better options for oily skin
So that was all from me
Hope you liked the review
